A Giant anniversary celebration!

It's hard to believe it's already been 7 years since Brian and I got married! We bought tickets a while ago to go to the Giants game on Memorial day (the day after our anniversary). We of course couldn't have known that our family would be going through such a trial the weekend before with Dylan's passing, and we both felt strange taking the day to do something so fun at that time... but Francesca and Kalen assured us that it would be okay and we should enjoy the day.

We dropped the kids off the night before with my parents so that we could have a relaxing morning and we wouldn't have to rush around. It was both Emmett and Henry's first night away from home, so I was a little anxious, but I think they did okay. We left in the morning and had a nice drive down to SF, lots of time to talk and reflect, and then made our way into the stadium to enjoy our AWESOME seats!!! We were sitting 3rd row behind the Giants bullpen! The pictures say it all.

We both got really emotional when they did a Memorial day salute and moment of silence, I know we weren't thinking of the soldiers, but of Dylan, and it was wonderful to share that moment together.

Overall it was a beautiful day and I'm glad we went. The rest of the week was rather hectic preparing for the funeral, and spending that time together really helped us to reflect on the wonderful life we have created together and all of the blessings we have to be grateful for, despite the trials that all must meet in this life.

Pre- game canoodling.

Lincecum headed to the bullpen to warm up.

What a cutie!

Gettin' freaky with the freak!

We never buy each other Anniversary gifts, but we decided we would buy each other souveniers from the game, and we both ended up picking out hats!

The view from our seats... pretty amazing, eh?

Softball is over! (Can't say i'm TOO disappointed.)

I'm so behind on posting! I'm going to try to catch up a little at a time.

MaryEllen's team had an end of year party a couple of weeks ago, then this last Saturday they got their trophies at an awards ceremony at the field. These are the pictures from both.

Most of the team with Coaches Vincent and Michelle.

Coach Michelle presented all the girls with Certificates.

The cake. (Guess who made it.)

Receiving her trophy.

The proud girls with their trophies.

It was a fun year of T- ball, and I'm glad we did it, but I don't think we'll be back next year. Too many games, no pictures (not for us at least, they were on Sunday) and a bit too much disorganization for me. Besides, I think MaryEllen is a true Soccer girl. (Hmmm, I wonder where she gets that from!)
