Opening day

MaryEllen is playing Tee ball with the Sacramento girls softball league, and a couple of weeks ago she had her opening day. Aside from the fact that the teams uniforms didn't show up in time and the Banner that I labored over for hours and hours didn't win the banner contest (It was FIXED!!!) The day went pretty well.

This is the shot of the day.

Emmett's second 1st birthday party

On his Birthday, Emmett had an awesome party at our house with Aunt Francesca, Uncle Kalen, Brianna, Dylan, and Grandma Cherie. We were sad That Grandpa Richard (Pepe, as the kids call him) was too sick to join us. We are hoping he will feel better soon so he can get back into action!

We had a yummy dinner, presents, cupcakes and ice cream, the whole she-bang! Despite the fact that Emmett was a grump and a 1/2 ALL DAY that day, he ended up being in pretty ok spirits for the party.

We were so glad we could finally bust out the "Celebrate" banner that Aunt Jessica made for us! Thank you!!!

Brianna and Francesca flashing their pearly whites.

Emmett got lots of cool toys and lots of shirts for summer! Yay!!

This was pretty much his party face all night. Not too bad, but definitely not his smiley self.

Dad helped blow out the candles this time.

His best smile of the night!

It looks like Henry should have a thought bubble in this picture, right? I just don't know what it would say. Maybe, "I wonder if I can convince mom to feed me cupcakes and ice cream for every meal."

Tickle time!!!!

Emmett's first 1st birthday party

(As opposed to his second 1st birthday party coming up on his actual birthday.)

We had a party for Emmett and cousin Nathaniel(7) last Saturday. It was a lot of fun and Emmett had a great time his first time around eating cake and opening presents!

Looking dapper, as always.

Present time!!

My mom made these matching dresses and scripture totes for each of the girls, and they did a little fashion show for us.

Blowing out the candles with Nathaniel... Nathaniel did most of the work, of course.

The cake I made. It was supposed to be a round cake with big cake Lego's on the top, but that didn't work out. So I had to figure something else out using only the materials I had. I'm pretty proud considering it was completely unplanned!
