Emmett's pooch dreams

I put Clara in her crate, then went to get her food out of the garage. This is what I found when I came back.

Yes, I was disgusted, too. I love our dog, but realize that all animals are teeming with bacteria and general filth. Fortunately, it was bath time anyway.

Jumble of Nonsense

Get ready for the randoms!!!

All the Fry grandkids at baby Peter's blessing.

Fry's, Gastaldi's, and Kuhnz'.

My birthday pavlova... i.e. the best thing I ever ate. (thanks Mom!)

I don't think you can handle this.

The boys like to watch movies in their little lawn chairs... whatever makes them happy!

Water fun with cousin Brianna.
R.I.P. little swimming pool, The dog got to it that very night.

This is what he puts on every time he plays dress up with Sissy. Again, whatever makes him happy.

Kindergarten "promotion ceremony". Mrs. Valencia refuses to call it a graduation, which I agree with.

We were trying to get a good shot for a gift for Fathers' day. These were the 2 winners.

He was so angry at me for not letting him play in the same cabinet as my Cuisinart blades.

4th festivities

We spent 4th of July with the Bjurstroms/ Faulconers/ Harris' and had a great dinner and dessert. Kalen capped off the night with a FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA!!!! It was awesome.

My favorite part of the night was playing "Just Dance" on the Wii. I got a lot of great videos of the dances, but I'm just gonna post this one of my cuties. Enjoy!

Note: pay attention when the drums break and the rap solo starts... Henry really turns it on then!

MaryEllen turns 6!!!!

MaryEllen turned 6 a couple of weeks ago and we had a casual party at our house for our family and her 2 best friends. She picked everything from the meal (hot dogs, carrots, and Mac n' cheese) to the cake (chocolate with chocolate chunks, chocolate frosting and peanut butter creme filling between the layers) to the favors for her treat bags. We planned on playing in our backyard, but it was too hot, so the kids just destroyed the house while the grown ups relaxed. It was a lovely evening for my lovely girl!

We were so excited about her gift from us... an American Girl doll! We had been planning this surprise for a LOOOONG time, so it was definitely the main event for me.

She blew out the candles without making a wish! When I asked her why she said she was too afraid. She had just the day before watched a movie on Disney Channel about a girl who makes a bunch of wishes on her 16th birthday, then regrets it when they all come true. I thought it was funny how literally she took the "be careful what you wish for" message of the movie.

Time for bed! She got so many great presents, including these matching nightgowns for her and her doll.
